Wild at Heart by K.A. Tucker – 3/5 Stars
Read this if you:
· have patience for immature adults
· have ever been in a tumultuous relationship
· have ever made a big sacrifice for someone you love
Synopsis:
When Jonah follows Calla back to Toronto because he can’t live without her, Calla makes the decision to pick up her life and head to Alaska, permanently. Calla has big dreams for her new life with Jonah but she quickly learns that there are sacrifices to be made and she starts to understand why her mother fled so many years ago.
My Thoughts on the Book:
After finishing The Simple Wild, I was obsessed with Jonah and Calla (okay mostly Jonah) and I couldn’t wait to read more about them. Oh man was I wrong, this book ruined all of the magic of their story!
Both Jonah and Calla are so incredibly selfish in this book, it’s a wonder they’re still together by the end of it. I felt like every time either of them tried to do something nice, the other person would ruin the moment entirely. I also found Calla to be incredibly immature. I mean, I was also in denial about being a real adult at 27 but I couldn’t believe how often she referred to herself as being “so young”…
I’ll definitely continue with this series because I really need to know that these two smartened up and went back to the perfect couple that they were in the first book!
