This Time Next Year by Sophie Cousens – 4/5 Stars
Read this if you:
· believe in fate
· have ever felt like second best
· are always looking for ways to end your bad luck streak
Synopsis:
Quinn and Minnie are born on the same day, at the same hospital, one minute apart. That’s where their similarities end. Thirty years later, their worlds collide again. Will they give in to fate’s attempt to bring them together again or is the timing still not right?
My Thoughts on the Book:
What an adorable story! I’m such a sap for fate and believing that so many things are just meant to be, this was right up my alley!
The writing in this story was fantastic and the characters are so loveable. Minnie’s misfortune on the unluckiest day of the year is so cringe-worthy but hilarious, I found myself laughing out loud throughout the book. I also loved how we saw flashbacks of previous years showing how close the MCs were to connecting at other points of their lives.
Quinn was so sweet, and I loved the addition of his mom’s struggles into the story but I wish he was more developed and we learned about his life a bit more throughout the book!
