Synopsis:
Vivian Forest has been offered the vacation of a lifetime – a trip to England with her daughter who has been hired to style a member of the royal family. She has big plans for the trip but is completely thrown off when she meets Malcolm, the Queen’s private secretary, and there is an instant attraction between them. Malcolm makes every excuse he can to spend all his time with Vivian during her stay, even giving her his first private tour. Vivian’s vacation ends on New Year’s Day and she heads home, leaving feelings of uncertainty between them.
My thoughts on the book:
This was the cutest addition to The Wedding Date series! I loved hearing about Maddie’s mom falling in love, it was different from other romance books which mostly focus on a twenty/thirty-something main character. I loved reading about the royal family traditions during Christmastime and this book was so well written, I felt like I was there with them at Sandringham.
The characters in this book were great as well – I loved how Vivian and Malcolm were both so unsure of themselves because they have both been off the dating scene for so long. The progression of their relationship was probably my favourite so far and I loved the sweet letters that they sent back and forth to each other from Windsor Castle.
